Home and Hospital Visiting
A stay at the hospital because of an illness or surgery can be a lonely and frightening time. An infirmity or physical limitation can keep you from attending services, and you may feel isolated from your church family. Pastors, deacons, deaconesses, and specially-trained volunteers with the Soul Care Ministry regularly visit those with health problems, providing friendship, support, prayer, Home Communion, and news from the church.
Three Ways to Request a Visit
- Call the Soul Care Ministry office at 619.582.7222 ext. 301. Please provide the person’s name and the name of the facility in which they are staying, and include the number of days that you expect them to be there. If you are requesting a home visit, please include the name, address, and contact phone number.
- Write the above information on the prayer request form during one of the Sunday services, and place it in the offering plate.
- After-hours needs can be requested through the answering service. Please call the church number, 619.582.7222, and listen to the directions to contact the answering service. A pastor or deacon will be notified and will return your call. In the case of emergencies, call 911.
